Education Committee

Develops and schedules seminars, workshops and training events for membership. Oversees the scholarship program.
     
The Educational Committee reaches out to various organizations e.g. Customs, USDA, FDA…… to help bring seminars of interest to the community. We look to the membership for ideas and requests. Remember the Educational Events are YOUR EVENTS – they are for you and your staff, empowering you to stay at the forefront of the ever changing environment in which we do business – What do YOU want training on?
 
We are a co-sponsor of the ACCREDITED certificate program in cooperation with CITD at Skyline College. Visit http://www.bayarealogistics.org/ or the link on our home page for an overview, curriculum detail and registration information. Use this program to train new and existing employees!!
 
And, many of our educational programs are certified by the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association (NCBFAA) for credits towards their Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) program.  Your firm must be a member of NCBFAA and you must register with them to participate in the program.
